Training and Certificate Programs
*We can travel to deliver these programs at your site, or usage of our own board room is available for groups up to approximately 12 people. We can also take care of any arrangements for booking local venues for groups larger than this if necessary. Some programs can be done individually or as part of a group. Keep a look out on our social media pages for upcoming group sessions we have planned, or you can contact us to book as an individual or with your own private group.
  • Anger Management: We offer anger management programming and ongoing counselling support. We focus on exploring the roots of our anger and how we can implement holistic strategies and tools into our lives that can help us to reclaim power and control over our anger. The certificate program is a 6 week program.
  • Grief Edu-Therapy: is the normal human response to loss. Unfortunately there is little information on how to resolve the intense conflicting emotions caused by life events. The Grief Edu-Therapy™ process is an easy to use model that reduces and eliminates intense uncomfortable emotional responses to loss, trauma, and abuse. After participating in this 6 week program, you will walk away with a powerful tool that can be applied to past or current relationships, living persons, or to those who have died recently or long ago.  Once experienced, Edu-Therapy™ can be used over a life time and participants will receive a certificate at the completion of the training. It teaches the most effective process that resolves the pain caused by the conflicting emotions of a meaningful loss. More info here: https://edutherapysolutions.com/
  •  Reconnecting With Your Inner Child (Inner Child Therapy): This is a 6 week intensive program that can be done individually or as a group. Our inner child is a part of our mind that stores all of our emotions/ traumatic experiences from childhood. Even though we are not children anymore, it is a lens through which we view our current experiences and contributes to the reactions we have to the events and choices we make (possibly raising our own children), especially in the face of stress and pressure. This program can help us unlearn healthy patterns, remind us that we are not wrong or bad, begin to create safety and security that our younger selves needed, help us to heal from the shame, promotes healthy relationships in our adult life, improves our emotional and mental health, and helps develop healthy coping behaviors. To see if this program is right for you, you can book a pre session with one of our therapists and complete a "How Wounded Is Your Inner Child" questionnaire during this session.
  • SafeTALK (Suicide Alertness for Everyone): A half-day alertness training that prepares anyone 15 or older, regardless of prior experience or training, to become a suicide-alert helper. Most people with thoughts of suicide don’t truly want to die, but are struggling with the pain in their lives. Through their words and actions, they invite help to stay alive. SafeTALK-trained helpers can recognize these invitations and take action by connecting them with life-saving intervention resources, such as caregivers trained in ASIST. This program has a minimum and maximum number or participants needed to be able to run. More info here: https://www.livingworks.net/safetalk
  • ASIST (Applied Suicide Intervention): A two-day workshop that teaches how to intervene and save a life from suicide. Over a million people around the world have participated in this award-winning program. You don’t need any prior training to attend ASIST—just a willingness to make a difference. This program has a minimum and maximum number or participants needed to be able to run. More info here: https://www.livingworks.net/asist
  • ASK (Assessing for Suicide in Kids): A one-day workshop that is the only suicide prevention workshop to specifically address suicide risk in children. The workshop gives participants developmentally appropriate strategies and tools to identify young children at risk of suicide and quickly gather and organize key details needed to asses risk and inform safety planning. This program has a minimum and maximum number or participants needed to be able to run. More info here: https://www.lifelineworkshops.com/the-ask-workshop.
  • Mental Health First Aid: A one-day or two half day certification program offered by our trained staff through Opening Minds/ Mental Health Commission of Canada. Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) provides you with the skills needed to extend crucial support to individuals navigating mental health crises or challenges. Much like traditional first aid, MHFA fosters the ability to identify common signs of distress and deliver immediate aid until professional assistance is accessible. In today's world, understating and supporting mental health is as crucial as addressing physical health. Opening Minds offers transformative MHFA courses designed to demystify mental health and substance use challenges. This evidence based course is proven to foster a more empathetic, supportive and stigma-free environment in your workplace, organization or community. Can be for groups and general members of the public. More info here: https://openingminds.org/training/mhfa/
Other Workshops and Presentations
We can travel to deliver programs at your site, or usage of our own board room is available for groups up to approximately 12 people. We can also take care of any arrangements for booking local venues for groups larger than this if necessary.

  • "Lift Each Other Up" Presentation: A presentation developed to help build an understanding of bullying behavior and encourage respect. The focus is on anti-bullying, anti-harassment and nurturing kindness in schools, work places and other organizations. It is fully customizable towards youth or adults and in many forms of presentations such as lunch and learns, half day workshops, individual services or in school student presentations. This is a popular program to run around the annual "Pink Shirt Day" movement every February. We take notes from each years theme to build into the presentation, but it can be booked at any time of year and can always be tailored to address particular problems within the group. More Pink Shirt Day info here: https://pinkshirtdaycanada.ca/
  • Wellness Days: This is a fully customizable professional development/ mental health refresh/ retreat day for your staff or group members. Available in full or partial day durations, we ensure your needs are met and take care of organizing all the details of the experience, which can include services from outside providers and meals. A full day would generally consist of half of the day being dedicated to a wellness activity, which could include massages, aroma therapy, individual/group counselling, or whatever wellness focused activity you and your group feels would be most beneficial for their health and well being. The second half would include one or more of our Counsellors joining your group to facilitate discussion on stress, coping, team building or any other group or workplace mental heath topic your organization would like to spend time on. Half-day sessions could consist of presentations in the form of "lunch and learns" or morning or afternoon sessions, or even broken down to 1-2 hours. These sessions are also fully customizable to focus on the wellness topic that you feel your staff/ members needs to hear or discuss.
  • Self Regulation Sessions: Generally geared to youth but can customize to accommodate adults as well. Learning about emotions and how they impact our bodies and minds is key for children to build social skills, be successful in school, make good choices, and learn how to manage their stress. One hour session includes education on practical methods of how to better acknowledge and self regulate big emotions along with a make and take mindfulness jar.
  • Other Customized Workshops: Do you have a topic that your business or organization could benefit from hearing about but don't see it listed? We can certainly tailor a workshop, lunch and learn, webinar or presentation of any duration on a variety of topics. These can include but are not limited to: Workplace mental health, general wellness, addictions, emotional identification and regulation, self care, youth mental health, anti-bullying, suicide prevention, traumatic events/ crisis debriefing, dealing with grief and loss etc. We would be happy to work with you to ensure we cover the message and tools you are wanting delivered to your group.
